how to print well in linux
 

im totally new to the print system of linux and now getting stuck with my canon s100 printer. i have the s100 printer driver provided by red hat 9 where gimp-print is recommended. however when i want to print all black document, the printing process damn slow and it seems like doing color printing job. can any1 help me?

have you set up your queues in
menu>system settings>printing

the redhat config printer?

run a test page?
cups tes?
plain letter test?
