Please use

if you want to play every kind of mediafile, you hould think about intalling mplayer
with the right codecs it can play everything: mpeg, wmv, dvd, quicktime, avi, ...

check out their site: http://www.mplayerhq.hu/homepage/

EDIT 2: messy post, sorry

uh... all you need to do is make sure that you ve installed a video player. Are you running on Gnome or kde? You could use mplayer, totem and there are others, if you dont have one of them install look around and see which you would like to use and you can use yum to install it. You can run a yum search and see which version is available, good luck

You can use VLC or Xine
