It plays with mplayer on my 2008 installation. Real Player might be worth a try too, although I've had no joy with video with that on 2008.

Hi mkhan919, It is working here with the free channels. The only plugin I see in my system that you don't have are these.

Code:
Java(TM) Plug-in 1.6.0_01-b06

    File name: libjavaplugin_oji.so
    Java(TM) Plug-in 1.6.0_01

DivX Browser Plug-In

    File name: mplayerplug-in-dvx.so
    mplayerplug-in 3.45

Video Player Plug-in for QuickTime, RealPlayer and Windows Media Player streams using MPlayer
JavaScript Enabled and Using GTK2 Widgets
Good luck. ;-)

i have installed the java plugin... but still cant play it. When i open the channel, it opens a small pop up window displayed the Thanks message, while the main window where the channel should play contains only a big white blank in the middle....

DiBosco .....

thanx

Update...

Someone told me to try the mediaconectivity extension for firefox... i installed but no impriovement. On a side note, now mozilla tries to open even rpm files with mplayer instead of package manager..............

Any ideas how to fix this ??
