how to paste an image of the computer screen into a forum post

Hi, I wish to submit a post related to a problem I am having. To effectively state my problem I need to place images of the computer screen showing messages coming from the computer.
QUESTION: how do add images to my post or paste images of a computer screen into the post? Thanks for your help

Hi, welcome to LQ.

Begin your post, then click the "Go advanced" button at the bottom of it, then click the "attachment" icon (with the paperclip) in the toolbar of the post.

In the "Manage Attachments" window click "Browse", select the file you want to attach then click "Upload" and close this window.

Not all file types are authorized so rename text files appending ".txt" to the name.

Adding images whose name end in .gif or .png for instance is fine.
