That command keeps telling you the file is not there
so a Jedi Knight must be messing with your mind.


just do
Code:
file /u01/Monthly_finance_report.xls
and post the output

The issue was closed. I have performed following steps.

1. killed all the running process
2. Rebooted the Linux box
