how to open blocked sites
 

Hi,

I am in the Middle east and my ISP is blocking all webiste. Is there any way to open blocked website and browse it on Debian?

If it is blocked by the ISP at thier premise then there is nothing you can do about it that any relation to Debian or any other OS or distribution.
What you could do though is to use proxy servers.

I would discourage the discussion of ways around IP blocks, less we travel into the territories of criminal activity.

Ip blocking is a criminal activity, in terms of human rights/freedom. Using public proxies is not illegal at all.

Well evidently they haven't blocked all of them else you wouldn't have been able to post that question. Presumably you are confident of being able to access this site to read answers. But anyway...


I would encourage discussion of ways to get around government imposed limitations on Internet access. (I'm assuming it's government imposed, it seems unlikely the ISP has decided to curtail access for their paying customers.)

Criminal depends on where you are...if it's illegal to view certain things in certain areas, that's their law, like it or not. So, either move or live with it. That said, I deplore it as well.

But according to LQ rules, discussing such things is against policy.

While my personal stance on this particular matter is sympathetic w/
the op I have to point out that the activity is indeed illegal for
his particular circumstance, and as such against LQ rules. Closed.
