How to manage system alerts and detect performance problems in CentOS (School project)?

I have a school project, and i cant find the commands. Help if you can, please.

- I have to find a way to monitor and manage the alerts in Centos.
- Need to detect performance problems in Centos.

And i have to do this without installing any program.
Thx.

For monitoring and managing the alerts, it depends on what kind of alerts you get. For that you should have good understanding and knowledge of linux and its commands to monitor. And then it depends on you how you tackle the problems and alerts.

Learn, learn and learn.....
And google can be your good friend if you wish to.. :)
