How to make XSane create individual filenames

I have FC-5 and use KDE.

I use xsane 0.991 for scanning. On the interface there is a drop down list that allows you to select the number to add to the file name so the name is unique. Right now that number isn't being added to the file name. It has worked in the past but not now. Is there something I need to do to make it work.

Thanks,

royeo

have you checked the config

under setup, you do have skip existing filenames enabled and the filename counter length dropdown is set to a number (*not inactive?*).

Note that number is the number of digits in the counter i.e. (0001 vs 00001) not the number to add to find a unique number.
