Here's how to reset your root password: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/How_t..._root_password
The typical way to use a pendrive is that, when you insert it, it shows up in your File Manager. It may be that you are unable to do this without knowing the root password, is that the problem here? HOWEVER since Fedora 14 is obsolete and unsupported, I recommend you do a fresh reinstall of the current Fedora 17, or a beginner-friendly distro such as Linux Mint. :) |
before you go resetting the root p/w have you tried sudo?

fedora DOSE NOT USE "sudo"
it IS NOT set up and might NOT even be installed fedora uses " su " and "su -" also tharkik Before you do ONE MORE THING on the DEAD fedora 14 download the CURRENT version- Fedora 17 and INSTALL THAT !!! fedora has a VERY VERY short life span. Only 13 months and releases a NEW version EVERY 6 months |
sudo has been on Fedora for some time and his brother may have configured it for him. was a thought.
