How to make gpg ask for passphrase in terminal?

Hello

OS: CentOS 7.6 Gnome.
How to make gpg ask for passphrase in terminal?

Earlier when I used Ubuntu, I had this in my config file:
Code:
$ cat ~/.gnupg/gpg-agent.conf
pinentry-program /usr/bin/pinentry-tty
default-cache-ttl 1
max-cache-ttl 1
But in CentOS, there is no pinentry-tty package.
Code:
$ yum search pinentry
pinentry.x86_64 : Collection of simple PIN or passphrase entry dialogs
pinentry-gtk.x86_64 : Passphrase/PIN entry dialog based on GTK+
pinentry-qt.x86_64 : Passphrase/PIN entry dialog based on Qt3
pinentry-qt4.x86_64 : Passphrase/PIN entry dialog based on Qt4
So how do you make gpg ask for passphrase in the terminal rather GUI?

Thanks

/usr/bin/pinentry-tty is a file (which is executed as a command), not a package.

You might find that pinentry-tty is supplied by the pinentry package.

I checked. There is no pinentry-tty command for RHEL based distros. Only available in Debian based distros. When in multi-user.target it uses pinentry-curses.

Thanks.

if there was no other way you can try to build it too: https://github.com/gpg/pinentry
and also you can try to download/unpack it from a deb and check if that works.
