How to make Gaim work?

Hi All,

I cannot start my Gaim, when I tried to connect it, it says your acoount " has been signed off: Disconnected"
I have also Installed plugins, I am running Red Hat 9.

Did you install the latest GAIM? What version are you using? Some might encounter problems as MSN is trying to cut down on third party software to connect to their network.

I am using GAIM v0.59.8 on my Red Hat 9, I cannot connect to yahoo also same error message. I had yahoo messeneger Installed before and it was working fine. One day I tried to connect it said latest version is available, please upgrade and I upgrade it from yahoo site, but it also stop connecting after that giving error message "Yahoo Messenger connot login, please try letter" . Under Windows XP on same machine everything is fine.
