How to make Firefox default web browser on Mandrake?

When I check emails and there's a link to a www site it doesn't launch Firefox but Konqueror. How do I make Firefox my default web browser?

Go into control center (k menu > control center). Choose the 'KDE Components' section followed by 'file Associations'. Look down the list to text and expand that. Within that you will see 'html', click on this. To the right there is options one of which is 'Application Preference Order'. Within this list move firefox to the top click apply and exit control center.

links should now open in firefox

Thank for the reply but it didn't solve my problem entirely. Some links you receive in emails don't have .htm/.html extenstion which makes it impossible to recognise for the browser other than Konqueror. For example:
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/7100805/
will still be opened by Konqueror and not Firefox.

So is it possible to configure Firefox to open all web sites?

Here's the link to the thread on my same problem between Thunderbird and Firefox only the links wouldn't open at all....
Open URLs from Thunderbird in Firefox

It was actually solved with a couple script changes/creations.
You should search your problem before posting it.
