How to install tuxracer-demo-1.1-linux-i386.sh


Well I havnt came across this type of file before and i was wondering how to install it. I would like ot play this demo from theri so site so i can test out open gl on my box.

soo how does one isntall the tux racer demo???


I was not able to find a read me on this.

try (in a console):

run tuxracer-demo-1.1-linux-i386.sh

I used teh sh command. 640X480 is good withmy duron 1300 and gf2mx400 64mb.... anyting abov that lags. 1024 is a slide show... Is this normal? I do get the nvidia splash screen so I assume my nvidia drivers are installed properly

Have you recently updated the kernel? If so, you may need to reinstall your nvidia drivers.

I updated the kernel through up2date yesterday. Then I installed teh nvidia drivers and edited the config file afterwards. Should I expect beter gaming at 1024? it really is a slide show....
