how to install squirrelmail plugin ?
Hi,
I want to enable username showing when user login in webmail and let them enable to change their default password.
I am using squirrelmail, I never worked with plugin, could somebody help me how to install plugin for functioning above options. I have read the README file from the plugins but not understanding..
Probably username showing plugin is: username-2.3-1.0.0.tar.gz
and Password changing plugin is : change_sqlpass-3.3-1.2.tar.gz
Appreciate your support, Thank you.
regards//

Did you decompress the tarball? There's an INSTALL file with directions inside it. It looks pretty straightforward.
If you try following the instructions and still have trouble, come back and provide as much information as possible about what you did and what errors you encountered.

Thank you frankbell and sorry for late reply from my end.
I have tried many times as per instruction of INSTALL file. But no progress.
My Squirrmail version is "squirrelmail-webmail-1.4.22.tar.gz" and my OS is CentOS 6.5.
Firstly I have decompressed and installed Compatibility plugin (image no 1 attached, INSTALL file's instruction followed 1,2 and 4),
Secondly decompressed and installed "username" plugin and selected from available plugins but not finding any result (image no 2 attached, INSTALL file's instruction followed 1,2,3 and 4 as well)
thirdly decompressed and installed "change-passwd" plugin and after selecting the plugin from the available plugins finding no result and hiding all features under the "options" button of the webmail. ( image no 3 and 4 attached, INSTALL file's instruction followed 1,2,3,5 and 6, and changed nothing in config.php file )
When installing no error I found And see my plugins list those I have selected from ../config/config.pl . (image 5 attached).
after all finding no output by making available those plugins, Could please suggest me what should I do to make this functional.
I strongly appreciate you support.
Thank in Advance.
regards..
Jamshed~~

Thank for all the additional detail. Unfortunately, I've never managed squirrelmail so I'm not in a position to offer much, but I'm sure the detail will make it easier for someone who has to help you.
