How to install slap-get
 
I am new to slackware but not linux I heard that slackware will teach you loads about linux.I have been using (k)ubuntu for a while and I have run other distros like fedora and suse and messed with others but never slackware.So please don't dive down my throat I no its a dumb question but I can't find any sites with clear instructions on how to install slap-get.Also does anyone no a good guide on package management in slackware.

Actually, it's "slapt-get", an apt-style package manager for Slackware.

Yea I figured out how to install it and my bad about calling it slap-get
And yea I didn't no that installing packages were that easy on here to I think slackware is going to be a lot of fun.I have used kubuntu for a while and I have used slackware for 2days and already learned loads more about linux.Oh yea and I am running slackware in a virtual box inside kubuntu I have never used lilo always grub how would I go about dual booting between windows xp and slackware.One more thing mp3 support I can already see that being a issue and thank you so much for your help

1) You can go here for instructions on setting up a dual-boot with WinXP & Linux using Lilo.

2) Install the win32codecs package. That will give you access to every file type available, including mp3.

There is an official Slackware package for grub if you prefer it and also you can get a slackbuild for the codecs from SlackBuilds.org.
