how to install s/w packages from a DVD in Debian OS

dear friends , i get 3 dvds of debian from LFY magazine , the first dvd is for OS which i have installed , but the 2nd and 3rd dvd is for addition software packages, but i am unable to install the s/w packages
So if any one help me out to how to install the packages , it will be helpfull to me ...

For each of your disks, put it in your drive and type in the konsole

apt-cdrom add

Then for the package you want to install type in the konsole

apt-get install <name of package you want to install>
