How to install rpms with all depndencies without RHN.
Hi, I am a new person on the topic Red Hat Enterprise, so I would like to help me with installation of packages without register RHN.
Tanks. |
Why don't you want to register with RHN? If you're not paying for RHN, then don't run RHEL, run one of the free alternatives instead (CentOS, Scientific Linux, etc).

The only way that I know (taught by a Guru) is that you have to register with RHN and that will give you access to the repositories.

The pricing for RHEL 6.3 ( the current )
https://www.redhat.com/apps/store/desktop/ is $49 to $299 per year and if you have to ask the $299 is probably your best bet for the first year / or one of the free rebuilds , but then you are your own tech support http://centos.org/ or https://www.scientificlinux.org/ but do not expect RHEL ( or Cent) to be GREAT home desktop Operating systems it was never designed for home use . A lot of normal everyday things are not installed like support for mp3's , or videos . I use ScientificLinux 6.3 but NOT as my normal everyday OS for that i run OpenSUSE 12.1 ( soon to be 12.2) the SL6 install is for running some programs that are designed for the University lab settings They NEED a very stable and not changing OS In RHEL the major versions of programs will NEVER change over the 10 year life span. This is good for the server rack ,or the Laboratory ,or the office , but bad for home use . |

Have a good weekend- |
well red hat's business model is free software BUT with a required support contract
that contract gets you tech support AND access to software to install they make there money BY supporting the operating system for a very "new to linux" user LinuxMint14 might be a very good place to start RHEL ( and it's FREE rebuilds - CentOS and ScientificLinux ) were never designed for the HOME general purpose computer ( they can be ,but a lot of extra work needs to go into it) software is missing for doing things like listening to music playing videos there is almost no "out of the box" support for any of that -- some but for ONLY free GPL codecs , NO mp3 support ,NO dvd video support RHEL and it's free rebuilds are targeted at the server room, the laboratory, and the Office |
Thanks
Thanks...But I used Linux RedHat, Debian, CentOS, Fedora, and Distribution Ubuntu, only he did not understand the operation of the support and payment on the new version of Red Hat Enterprise...
