How To Install Rh9 From Hdd


i want to install RH9 through HDD. I copied entire linux cd to my HDD. During installation what is the path i want to give. please reply me soon.

Why not just boot off the cd? If you can't why not try something like sbminst? It's a great boot disk that will allow you to boot from a non-bootable cdrom. I believe (If this is what you need) http://btmgr.webframe.org/ should help you

The path depends on the partition you have it on. If you just have one partition, it will be /dev/hda1. You need to add the directory you have it in (if it is in a directory).

i copied entire CD to my HDD, FROM THE INSTALLATION PATH WHAT I WANT TO GIVE THE SCREEN IS LIKE THAT

/dev/hda1


i copied the files in c:\rh9\cd1 directory.

when i gave the path it is telling not found.
