how to install poky linux?
 

hi all,

i have a question.how to install poky linux on a desktop?tried to google but couldn't find the appropriate tutorial?.thanks.

thanks for the tutorial apparently doesn't work for me?

this is how i install.(note i have a desktop with ubuntu 10.04)


$ aptitude install build-essential python diffstat texinfo texi2html cvs subversion wget gawk help2man bochsbios
(#all dependencies installed)
$ tar xjvf poky-green-3.3.tar.bz2
$ cd green-3.3/
$ source poky-init-build-env
$ runqemu qemux86

couldn't find image in home/poky/Desktop/green-3.3/build/tmp/deploy/images.Attempted image names were:
moblin-image-sdk-qemux86.ext3
moblin-image-netbook-qemux86.ext3
ppoky-image-sdk-qemux86.ext3
poky-image-sato-qemux86.ext3
poky-image-minimal-qemux86.ext3

I don't use Poky. Try asking this question to Poky's mailing list.
