How to install non-PAE kernel in Fedora 11

Hi
for some reason I want to remove PAE kernel loaded in my PC and replace it with a non-PAE kernel of fedora11.

Can anybody help in this case. I want to do for Fedora 11 only.

OS: Fedora 11 kernel 2.6.30.---
RAM:2 Gb
32 bit
Intel Core 2 Duo Processor.

Regards

Raja

I used google for your question, because I don't know how kernel packages are named in Fedora (apparently a very simple name works). The pages I found gave these instructions in answer to your question:
Quote:

yum install kernel, and then edit grub.conf to make the non PAE kernel the default

Fedora 11 is dead. Very dead: only versions 16 and 17 are supported, and support for version 16 stops next year. But if you must have it, then you can find what's available with
yum search kernel
If you can't find it, you could try
ftp://ftp.icm.edu.pl/vol/rzm2/linux-...89.EL.i686.rpm

I assume that explains the instruction to just edit grub.conf as the means of changing which kernel is selected on next reboot (after installing the desired kernel rpm).

A current version of Fedora would have different instructions for how to change which kernel will be selected by grub.

I was quoting the instructions I found without a way to confirm or test them.
