Sonjoy,
I looked everywhere but i could not find precompiled binaries of mplayer for X86_64 suse 9.1
What i did though was borrow some help from a Mandrake repository and with a little playing around i managed to make this beast work.
You will need:
lib64ggi2-2.0.4-1mdk.amd64.rpm
lib64gii0-0.8.4-1mdk.amd64.rpm
lib64nas2-1.6b-1mdk.amd64.rpm
lib64postproc0-1.0-0.pre3.13.100mdk.amd64.rpm
libgii-0.8.4-1mdk.amd64.rpm
mplayer-1.0-0.pre3.13.100mdk.amd64.rpm
mplayer-gui-1.0-0.pre3.13.100mdk.amd64.rpm
mplayer-skins-1.3-8mdk.noarch.rpm
nas-1.6b-1mdk.amd64.rpm
I got the above from
ftp://ftp.aso.ee/pub/os/Linux/distri...Mandrake/RPMS/
i installed with rpm -Uvh --nodeps xxxxxxx.rpm
and i used the win32 codecs from
http://packman.links2linux.com/download.php?t=b&id=6309
and after all was finished i also downloaded gmplayer from the first address i gave you above.
Created a shortcut on my KDE panel with command line "gmplayer -quiet -nofs" (no "s")
taddaaaaa all works
As a side note it is SAD that suse doesnt provide mplayer in their ftp's. Such a wonderful program!!!
Hope i helped you
