Hi,
I installed rhel 6 through custom based but after complete installation I came to know that few package which is need most has been missed out. For example there is not TEXT EDITOR, PDF DOES NOT SUPPORT, I need screenshot features mostly but even that is also not available. Please kindly suggest how can i make that available or if there is any way where i can reinstall RHEL 6 without formating so that i might not loose any existing data.
1.You can use the package manager: ttps://access.redhat.com/documentation/en-US/Red_Hat_Enterprise_Linux/5/html/Deployment_Guide/ch-graphical-rpm.html
2.You can use Yum: https://access.redhat.com/documentat...de/ch-yum.html
Then check out the package names and install them.

If you have a partition or partitions with a Linux filesystem, you won't need to format anything. If you don't, then format a partition to use and if you have some other operating system or data partitions, make sure you don't format that partition or those partitions but use unallocated space.
If you plan to use Red Hat beyon the trial period, make sure you get a subscription and pay the fees.
