how to install mfc42.dll
 
I am a new utilizer of Linux (Mint 17.1). My question is how to install mfc42.dll (in order to subsequently install Irfanview 4.23 by Wine).

Download it and put at windows/system32 directory. This direcotry is one of Wine drive_c subdirs.

are you sure you want to use the out of date infraview

you are using 4.23 , the last was 4.38

there are MANY better programs built for linux

this was junk back when i looked at it for XP
and it is still the same

Thanks for suggestion. I have already made it but the answer to "winetricks mfc42" is "permission denied".
