4 gig space

I have Ubuntu installed on a 4 gig hard drive. I have the gnome and xfce desktop installed. The drive still has 1.9 gig of free space left. I can say as a beginning Linux user (since April, 2006) that Ubuntu is a good distro to start on.

It is a pretty good start for a new linux users. Apt-get is pretty good. The forum here for ubuntu is very good. I would say that was a good choice for a first distro.
