how to install linpsk in linux mint 17


trying to install linpsk-1.3.5 could use some help pleaseby way of terminal and not good at all on install instructions could use some instructions please. thanks Doc1966

You can search the repository with
Code:
sudo apt-cache search linpsk
Then install the package you are looking for with
Code:
sudo apt-get install linpsk-1.X.X

Just a note that there is an extraneous ] in 1nuxg33k's post above.

The following should get you linpsk:

sudo apt-get install linpsk
Note that Mint 17 will only be supported until April.

Edit: I now see that you want v1.3.5. The version in the Ubuntu 14.04 repositories (the ones that Mint 17 uses) is only 1.1. I'll have a look to see how/if you can get the later version.

Right. If you install Mint 18.x then that will give you version 1.2. If you install Mint 19.x then that will give you version 1.3.5.

If you want to use 1.3.5 on Mint 17 then you may well have to build it yourself:
