how to install KDE using terminal logged in as root


hi, i want to manually install KDE using the terminal. I am logged in as root and i think i have all the .rpms required for KDE. I was just wondering if i am going to requre any additional things. I am using Fedora Core 3

Don't take my word for this

but i don't see why you can't do ' rpm -Uhv *.rpm --nodeps --force '

this should work

well i used rpm -i kde.rpm but it gave me a lot of stuff which i have no idea what to do about. It gave me like 100 files that it said can't work together or something and then it said it needs library files and all that kind of stuff. When i tried to install kdelibs.rpm or something it gave me some other errors.
