how to install .init files?!?

Hi,

I have a program called gearpro, however the install file is a GEARGUI.init file... how do i install this type of file? clicking it does nothing. sorry im a newb:(

also when i do ./GEARGUI.init i get this response

./GEARGUI.init: line 126: : command not found

a quote from the gearpro manual. do ./install or sh install. that should work
