how to install HP 1020 plus printer driver in scientific linux
 

sir,
i have recently installed Scientific Linux 6.2. i am facing problems in installing printer driver. i have tried the installation as given on site ,

but it is showing error while installing..

can u help me for installing HP 1020 plus printer driver....

I don't know scientific linux but guess that your driver is already installed.

Make sure the cupsd daemon is running and your printer plugged in then type the address http://localhost:631 and install your printer.

The model number Hp Laserjet 1020.

It should not be necessary to install anything other than what is supplied thru the package manager--eg packages such as HPLIP and Gutenprint should be there.

Everything you need might already be installed---as already mentioned, just go to localhost:631 and then add the printer.
