Talking How to install Google Earth


I had installed wine in my lap, can any one suggest further to install Google Earth in this

You can install the linux version of Google Earth, without going through wine. See guidelines here. You can also choose the Linux version of the Google Earth installer from the official website (very straightforward installation instructions here).

If you are using Ubuntu as your profile indicates you can use apt. Just enter the following in terminal.

sudo apt-get install googleearth

To do that, you have to have the medibuntu repository enabled. Its not part of any of the *default* repositories

Tried the instructions pointed to by colucix for my Fedora 8 box. It installs but won't recognize I've already got the bistream-vera fonts.. Also crashes after starting up. Any hints?
