How to install from floppy

Hi all, boot from CD does not work in my PC.
I have only WIN$ and i would like to install Linux.
I know about partitions, but i do not know how to run setup.
Thank you in advance

Since most distros have kernel 2.6, you cannot boot from floopy disk, because kernel don't fit on it.

With a distros like Debian et al, you can boot from floppy and then do a network installation. You can even install with only floppies, but I would not recommend it.

if you want to install Slackware, you must first make floppy's
you can use windows to do so ( or dos )

on cd-1 there is a dir /bootdisks and /rootdisks; go there and read the " README " files.
you'll need 1 boot- and 2 root-floppy's and use " rawrite " or " rawritewin" to create them.

good luck....
