How to install Fedora 16 i386 DVD.iso from USB

Hi Could anybody tell me how to install Fedora 15/16 i386 from USB. I would like to install Fedora 15/16 into my laptop (Samsung N100) which don't have DVD drive. I have tried the following methods but they didn't work,

I have used dd command, but it didn't work.

I have tried askmethod command with boot.iso image extracted into USB drive with live usb creator, then the following errors were occurred with Fedora 15 and 16.

Fedora 15:
After partitioning set-up, Packages with i686 could not be read, then I tried with so many images and finally decided that there was bug in the OS itself.

Fedora 16:
After specifying the path of iso file, the system did not go to next screen and doesn't responds.

Regards

You can follow the instructions at the Fedora Project site where you got the download.

There are a few ways.

One is to boot to that iso file.

Another is to go to another system and create a live cd. There are a few ways to do that also. Native installs and live usb type.

You can create a virtual machine to boot to the iso. Then install the system to the usb.

There used to be a network install of Fedora. Not sure if that is still going. Might look at netboot.me or boot.kernel.org

See pendrivelinux.com

Might be able to use grub4dos or other grubs to boot to the iso.
