How to install Debian on Pureos???

Hello I need a way to install debian on pureos without dvd or usb or flash drive or pen drive can someone help me?

You could use GRUB to boot the debian installation ISO file from your pureos filesystem.

Are you wanting to replace pureos with debian or duel boot?

I like the idea of two distros dueling on the same computer.

debootstrap is what you are looking for.

I wasn't familiar with debbootstrap so I tried it myself in VM and read about it. Anyway it's completely different than installing from ISO, and more for advanced user, probably not what newbie is looking for at all...

D.3. Installing Debian GNU/Linux from a Unix/Linux System

This section explains how to install Debian GNU/Linux from an existing Unix or Linux system, without using the menu-driven installer as explained in the rest of the manual. This “cross-install” HOWTO has been requested by users switching to Debian GNU/Linux from Red Hat, Mandriva, and SUSE. In this section some familiarity with entering *nix commands and navigating the file system is assumed. In this section, $ symbolizes a command to be entered in the user's current system, while # refers to a command entered in the Debian chroot.

Once you've got the new Debian system configured to your preference, you can migrate your existing user data (if any) to it, and keep on rolling. This is therefore a “zero downtime” Debian GNU/Linux install. It's also a clever way for dealing with hardware that otherwise doesn't play friendly with various boot or installation media.
[Note] Note

As this is a mostly manual procedure, you should bear in mind that you will need to do a lot of basic configuration of the system yourself, which will also require more knowledge of Debian and of Linux in general than performing a regular installation. You cannot expect this procedure to result in a system that is identical to a system from a regular installation. You should also keep in mind that this procedure only gives the basic steps to set up a system. Additional installation and/or configuration steps may be needed.

I do that all the time, two words similar sounding, similar spelling. I'll replace one with the other when typing and don't usually catch it. My worst one is your and you're, I have a bad habit of typing your for you're.

Well the newbie has no options to install from any media from his original post the only way he gets it done is to install it with another computer that has similar hardware and options to use install media then put that drive into the computer he wants it in or do it with debootstrap. Then again there is always a virtual machine like you used for the testing.

You follow the step by step instructions given on the page. The manual process you need to do with no options for your install media in the machine, leave no choice in the method of install.

Another option is to create a small partition to house the debian iso along with grub boot files, boot the iso with grub bootloader.

Or, y'know, what I suggested in the very first reply which is 1000x easier ;) (and similar to what colorpurple just mentioned in previous post, although I wouldn't bother with a separate partition, just use existing pureos partition). But in any case boot the install iso with grub, then install using the installer.

i.e. https://www.linuxbabe.com/desktop-li...b2-boot-loader

It totally defeats your posting of a newbie and his inexperience doing these things, so not as simple as you make it...

Will you be able to connect to the internet with the debian installer?
post the output of
Code:

lsblk -f

Hmmm. Well ok. I kinda think you're wrong about those two ways (bootstrap and another computer) being the only ways without external media
and I'm pretty sure you're wrong about that being debbootstrap being what the OP is looking for. So, I'm not sure what you're trying to say here. You said "the only way he gets it done is to install it with another computer" other than bootstrap that even the documentation says its super complicated and wont end up the same as a real install. I had already suggested a much easier way, in the very first reply. And after your post stating what he wanted was that bootstrap thing, before replying to you I looked into your method, read the documentation, and tried doing it, before replying with my opinion (and quoting the documentation) that I strongly suspect it is probably not what they want. I guess we'll have to let OP decide, seems he ignored me and tried your complicated way anyway.
