how-to install chinese fonts
i have installed twmoefonts using portage (i use gentoo) & added fonts directory to
etc/X11/XF86Config
then i restart X server...
and nothing changes...
i want use them in mozilla... but it's dont working (
i open site withc chinese "signs" on it and i dont see them...
what to do to install and use those or other fonts...?
pls help me...

You need to change the font setting for the language encoding in Mozilla, somewhere in the preference you can change it.

i got problem...
i copyt my fonts to: cd /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/TTF
root@localhost / # cd /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/TTF
root@localhost TTF # ls
encodings.dir fonts.scale luximr.ttf luxirr.ttf luxisr.ttf
ffangsong.ttf jfangsong.ttf luximri.ttf luxirri.ttf luxisri.ttf
fonts.cache-1 luximb.ttf luxirb.ttf luxisb.ttf mssong.ttf
fonts.dir luximbi.ttf luxirbi.ttf luxisbi.ttf
as you see there are some ttf fonts...
but i cant use any of them in my system!!!
here is a part of my XF86Config file:
FontPath "/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/local/"
FontPath "/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/misc/"
FontPath "/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/75dpi/:unscaled"

what to do to make them work ? ? ? ?

try mkfontdir in /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/TTF then restart X

now i got second problem... every program see my new chinese fonts but mozilla see only standard fonts...
(Mozilla >> Edit >> Preferences... >> Apearance >> Fonts )
in list of fonts there i have only standard old fonts... (oder aplications can normal use my chinese fonts)

make sure mozilla is compiled with xft support (it is by default though)

run fc-cache as root after adding new fonts.
if the system complains there is no fc-cache, do whereis fc-cache. then run that command.
