how to install adobe reader
 
i have downloaded adobe reader and when i am trying to install i am getting this message please do help me

[root@localhost Adobe Reader]# tar zxvf linux-5010.tar.gz
installers/COMMON.TAR
installers/INSTALL
installers/LICREAD.TXT
installers/LINUXRDR.TAR
installers/MANIFEST
installers/README
[root@localhost Adobe Reader]# cd installers
[root@localhost installers]# less README
[root@localhost installers]# less INSTALL
[root@localhost installers]# ./INSTALL

ERROR: No configurations found ... aborting

INSTALL is usually a text file that tells you *how* to install a program, not an program that installs it.

If you're using redhat I find it hard to believe that you can't find an rpm for reader.

And doesn't redhat come with ghostgum viewer?

Try "ggv myfile.pdf" where myfile.pdf is... you guessed it... your file.

You need to type ./INSTALL (note the upper case), then the install process will start.

thanks for the help dudes,but still iam unable to install it .............. as the same error continues

[SIZE=4] please help me to install

or suggest an alternative method to install adobe reader
