how to install adobe reader
i have downloaded adobe reader and when i am trying to install i am getting this message please do help me
[root@localhost Adobe Reader]# tar zxvf linux-5010.tar.gz installers/COMMON.TAR installers/INSTALL installers/LICREAD.TXT installers/LINUXRDR.TAR installers/MANIFEST installers/README [root@localhost Adobe Reader]# cd installers [root@localhost installers]# less README [root@localhost installers]# less INSTALL [root@localhost installers]# ./INSTALL ERROR: No configurations found ... aborting [SIZE=3] |
INSTALL is usually a text file that tells you *how* to install a program, not an program that installs it.
If you're using redhat I find it hard to believe that you can't find an rpm for reader. And doesn't redhat come with ghostgum viewer? Try "ggv myfile.pdf" where myfile.pdf is... you guessed it... your file. |
You need to type ./INSTALL (note the upper case), then the install process will start.
