how to install a library on suse linux

i am not familiar with suse.

in redhat, lets say is not installed on my server, i can use yum whatprovides and then i can know what packages i need to install.
is there a whatprovides function in suse?

To search for packages which provide a special capability, use the command what-provides. For example, if you would like to know which package provides the perl module SVN::Core, use the following command:

zypper what-provides 'perl(SVN::Core)'
