Did you go to the intel website and grab the drivers? You just need the kernel source files and the Intel drivers. You could also try building your own vanilla kernel, and I believe there is already support for the Intel 3945 wireless network cards.

I would have though that with EL you would have paid Redhat for support - go ask them.

The kernel support is for mac80211, you still need a driver. Here is a good place to start. Has a link to the intel site as well, but I can't see that as being in line with the Redhat philosophy.

I have the same problem of wireless connectivity ! And I tried installing the ieee802.11 subsystem for linux which it was asking for but there were way too many dependencies which I couldn't resolve since I did have a subscription with RHN. Let me know if u got a way for that .

Ubuntu is a lot better when it comes to wireless connectivity

using UBUNTU

u r correct there were millions of dependencies which do not install properly & i have tried multiple times no avail, the only reason i wanted RHEL bcz of ORACLE & other Applications which work better on it !!!
