I don't know very very SuSE, but, if u go on YaST Control Center, do you have an option for the language setting?

Hello,

a package called 'kinput2' might help you do that.
I don't know how to install it simply in SuSE, but you'll sure find the answer by searching around using www.google.com for instance.

Good luck, be patient, search and you'll find.
Sylvain.

Hi again,
You might as well need to set these variables in one of your personal scripts:

LANG=ja_JP.eucJP
LC_MESSAGES=ja_JP.eucJP
LC_CTYPE=ja_JP.eucJP
XMODIFIERS=@im=kinput2
#
export LANG
export LC_MESSAGES
export LC_CTYPE
export XMODIFIERS

There is probably a user-friendly solution as well.
I hope you'll find the solution that will be fine for you.

Ja-ne!
Sylvain.
