How to increase screen resolution
 
One more newbie here!! :D

OK i have fedora 7,installed. My current screen resolution is 1024x768
i know my monitor can handle much large resolution,i want my resolution to be 1152 x 870 HOW TO DO THIS ?

Add a line like the bold one is the first step that I will try.

There might be be other changes that you have to make, but start with the above one.

A quick Google has turned this up:

"Since you have already set your resolution try running "xvidtune" from a terminal inside X. It will allow you to tweak your horizontal and vertical frequencies interactively. "
