how to identify the linux driver I need to mount/interact with new kindle

I have an acer c720 running current arch linux.
I lost my old kindle (paperwhite) and replaced it with Kindle Basic 3
Arch shows the new kindle 2.8GB storage as unassigned free space rather than as a vfat file system.

The latest lubuntu live usb recognizes and mounts the new kindle as a vfat device.

Therefore a linux driver for this kindle does exist. How can I identify it so that I can add it to my current Arch installation?

Do you have libmtp installed? If not, install it and see if you can manually mount (find partitions with lsblk or fdisk -l) and access the Kindle partition. Ubuntu probably has libmtp by default, which would explain the Kindle working there.
Other people have had issues like this. Maybe something there will help?
