how to get the mails from outlook to fedora ?

Hi all,

my system is a dual boot system on which both windows and fedora are installed now as outlook is generally used for mails but when i work on fedora i don't get the mails.

So how to configure mails on fedora so that i can get all mails coming to my outlook folder or my mail account.

You may find that outlook is set to delete all mail off the mailserver once it has downloaded them. Depending on how often you are planning to boot into fedora you may want to set this from auto delete to 7 days or eariler.

You will have to do the same with the mail client you are using in fedora, othewise you won't be getting email in your outlook mailbox.

Regards

Stephen

Do you use the calendar feature of Outlook?

If not, then one versatile approach would be to install Mozilla Thunderbird on both your Windows O/S and your Fedora O/S

Then configure both Thunderbird clients to point to the same mail folder(s) on a third data partition or perhaps the windows partition (Linux can comfortably deal with the Windows partition, particularly if you have ntfs3-3g package installed on your linux O/S.
