how to get my printer to work

im using slackware 9.1 and kde, my canon printer has no driver for linux... how do i add it so i can print?

I'm not sure what kink of Canon printer you have but have you checked to see if its listed??

yeah, i have the canon i850s and its not in that list...

Distribution: Switched to regualr Ubuntu, because I don't like KDE4, at all. Looks like vista on crack.....

Try a similar canon driver

I had to use the driver for the canonip4000 to get my canonip3000 working, and it only works with text, not photos. Try the closest driver, print a test page, text only at first, if it doesn't work, try another one.
