"ps aux" or "top" top will give you a list based on the cpu usage I think and ps is ordered by the number of the process.

There are about 10 httpd prosseses running. Why?

That's a bit too much I think. IIRC the d at the end stands for daemon. Have you perhaps startup scripts that start this thing so much?
