How to get internet working on Mandrake 10.0

Got Mandrake 10.0 official.

i can't connect to Internet. i get my ip from the company's server. I login by the company website at an IP-adresse. But, we can't get that site to working.

When I use XP to login on the Internet i get to the company's website there I enter user name and password.

i use zyxel Modem for my ADSL connection.

How should I do to get my Ethernet working and so it's connecting to my company server?

what does the following words mean an what do they have for purpose?

DHCP-adress?
Zeroconf-hostcomp.

Need to go through this one step at a time. Each network card in a computer needs an ip address. The company will either allocate you with a static address and a subnet address which you should then use. If they are using dhcp then the ip address is "leased" to your network card for a given time. In order to use dhcp you need to have dhcp-client installed which I am sure you have. I don't use Mandrake but do know they have a networking tool installed which should make it fairly easy to set up given what I have said above. As far as connecting to the internet is concerned your company sysadmins should have given you a gateway address to use. i.e. the network card connected to wan. Hope this make things a bit easier for you.
