Introduction to Linux - A Hands on Guide
This guide was created as an overview of the Linux Operating System, geared toward new users as an exploration tour and getting started guide, with exercises at the end of each chapter.
For more advanced trainees it can be a desktop reference, and a collection of the base knowledge needed to proceed with system and network administration. This book contains many real life examples derived from the author's experience as a Linux system and network administrator, trainer and consultant. They hope these examples will help you to get a better understanding of the Linux system and that you feel encouraged to try out things on your own.

How to get 11.04 to recognize my phone when plugged in.
Hello, first post here! I'm using a Dell Inspirion 600 with 11.04 and my problem is when I plug my Droid Eris in the phone knows its plugged in but I cant find it on the Computer.
It should show up in Nautilus (and, if you are using Gnome, on the desktop). You may have to tell the phone to let go of the SIMM card so it can be mounted. (Edit: I meant "release the sdcard.")
I have a suggestion: Open the notification panel and touch the USB icon while the phone is connected. On my G1, that opened a menu telling the phone to mount. On my new MyTouch 3G, it opens a similar menu, but with more options.
I tried searching online for a user manual for your phone and could not find one. This is really a user manual question.
