how to force centos to look into local yum repo than the internet mirrors

Hello,

Now that I have created my local yum repo I want centos to first look for package under the local repo first and if its not there then its should go and check on the internet. I tried checking the /etc/yum.conf like may be changing some priority level but it doesn't seems to be there. Is there anyway we can set priority like first its should look in to Local repo then the dvd or cd yum repo and then go on the internet if it fails to find the package in local and dvd repos. thanks-M

Install the yum-priorities pkg
http://wiki.centos.org/PackageManagement/Yum/Priorities

Low num = higher priority

i just add at the end --disablerepo=base. that works perfectly for me. but make sure you have RPMs from both dvds in your local repo.
Code:
# yum install lsscsi --disablerepo=base

I think --disablerepo=base would be ideal option.

Actually I wanted to know with respect to RHCSA exam perspective as I am not sure if we are allowed to download packages during the exam as internet access is not allowed on that I believe.
