Secondly when i entered netconfig command in the terminal it does not recognize it, do i have to install it also. Please give me advise that how to proceed forward as i am stuck in this area Thanks in advance for all of u Best Regards, |
From the menus:
Applications->Add/Remove Software, enter root passwd at prompt, select search and specify ftpd. Basically you've got a choice of 2: vsftpd or proftpd. |
If you are connected to the internet you could alternatively do a yum -y install proftp*.rpm or better yet search using yum search ftp. This will give you a list of various ftp rpms you can install then follow the 1st procedure to install it.

I am new to Linux. Trying to install Oracle and have a lot of RPM packages to get as a pre-install. Where is the best place to get these packages?
