How to find out your kernel version


Hi,

I have a really simple question:

How do I find out what kernel version I'm using?

I'm using Ubuntu Breezy on a laptop

go to the terminal and type

Code:
uname -r
That should work.

uname -a for additional info...

[amosf@shiva folding]$ uname -a
Linux shiva 2.6.15.1 #3 PREEMPT Thu Jan 19 02:18:59 EST 2006 x86_64 AMD Athlon(tm) 64 Processor 2800+ unknown GNU/Linux
