You could also browse the block devices located in /dev/disk/by-id and see what you find.

Yeah I see that /dev/disk/by-id in the output of post number 11.

Found that doing some rudimentary Googling - I'm not very familiar with Suse thus I can't really be of more help - Apologies,

Why not install from source?

Yes, that could be done, but I ve found Suse supports hwinfo rather than lshw by default.
