Question How to exit Gnome to Shell, Mandrake 9.2?

Hello all!

I am installing the new InVidia drivers on me system here... It says I have to exit X Windows and run it from the Shell.
It WON'T run from the shell in Gnome - has to run natively.

How the heck do I boot into/exit into the shell from X/Gnome then? Haven't seen anything about it anywhere.

Thanks in advance!

ctrl-alt-F1 will get you out of X. Alt-F7 to get back.

No idea how I was supposed to find this out - it's nowhere I could find in the GNOME docs - where'd you find out? Word of mouth like this?
