How to execute file in different process on ubuntu?

Means I want to execute two executables one by one at the same time as shown below:


these are two executables...... but the second one is executed after 1st one is closed ...... is there any way two execute both.....

One way is

gnome-terminal -e execute1

but here i want to hide the terminal window..........

Put the commands in a script, you can call the script from a launcher.

use the "&" character in the end of statements (to run it in backgroud):
$ execute1 &
$ execute2 &
* you can list the background process with the jobs command, and it bring to foreground with the fg <job_id> (and send it back to background pausing/suspending it with CTRL+Z and issuing a bg command - more info: ->

* it's not ubuntu specifc
